Attendance at school is very important for student success. Even being late a few minutes can disrupt your child’s learning for the day. When a child arrives late to class, he or she does not know how to begin the activity, has missed important morning announcements and also disrupts the learning of the rest of the students in the class.
Developing a morning routine will be helpful in getting your child to school on time. Try to organize backpacks and lunches the night before.
Children who are not in line at 9:25 a.m. are considered late. Any student arriving after the morning announcements must come to the office for a late slip. Kindergarten students who arrive late must be brought to the office by their parent to get a late slip.
