As you know, the beginning of the school year is a time of re-learning school procedures for students or learning something new.  While we take this responsibility very seriously as a school staff, we also look to our parents and caregivers to help us out.  We all recognize that a team approach is the best approach.

Please help us by reinforcing some of the messages we’re sharing with our students this week:

-always be visible on the yard during outdoor play; don’t run around to the side of the school building where staff can’t see you

-if you are a bus student, look for your bus using the visuals that have been prepared for you; red butterfly, blue dog, yellow bird and white seal and the corresponding coloured pylons at the door of each bus; when you get off of the bus each morning, move safely and swiftly to your entry door and wait with your class; students arriving late from their bus will be directed to go indoors through the front entry to class

-do your best to pack a boomerang lunch; food waste and paper recycling get discarded at school while other recycling and garbage comes home
