I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to welcome our students on Tuesday!  Our custodial team have done an incredible job preparing the school facility and grounds while our equally impressive office staff have been registering students and assisting teachers in getting ready for the doors to open next week.

I feel privileged to be a part of such a dynamic, caring group of staff.  They have dedicated many hours already in preparation, in order to ensure that our learning space, schedules and planning are ready to welcome the eager faces that we know will be greeting us on Tuesday.

I would officially like to welcome Mr. Nick Chiarelli, Brigadoon’s new Vice Principal.  Mr. Chiarelli joins us as a seasoned school administrator, sharing his time with both Brigadoon and Pioneer Park Public School Communities.

Mrs. Kim MacFarlane is no stranger to the Brigadoon community.  She is returning to us from Driftwood Park Public School as our new Head Secretary!  She has been working many days over the summer already, in anticipation of our start.  Joining her is Mrs. Maggie Cooper, also from Driftwood Park as one of our assistant secretaries, along with Mrs. Kathy Owens who continues to share her time between the library and our main office.  Our office team is warm, friendly and highly experienced.  We are all looking forward to meeting you soon!  Don’t forget to stop and say ‘Hello’!

Please continue to connect with our school website for important updates and information, particularly in the next few weeks as we get underway.  There will be lots to look forward to.

In the meantime, enjoy a restful long weekend.  Encourage your children to get a good night’s rest on Monday and we will see you on Tuesday morning.  Don’t forget, our bell rings at 9:25 am.  Our staff will be outdoors to greet you starting at 9:10.  Look for your grade level sign, students!  Behind every grade level sign is a teacher with a giant smile, ready to welcome you!

Until Tuesday,

Mrs. Kelly Gudas

Principal
