Each morning, we continue to have some challenges with space for both staff and daycare families to park in our lot. Compounding that problem, is our late arriving buses and parents dropping off their children who are running late.
We would ask that if you are arriving late with your children, please do not park in front of our daycare. Today, I personally witnessed a parent with a toddler getting caught between two busses because other parents parked in front of the daycare, requiring her to park on the street and then walk her toddler into the lot.
Also, keep in mind that we have areas that are considered Fire Routes – both on the ring road in front of the school and by the daycare fence. Bylaw officers have ticketed vehicles for this parking violation. As with all schools, parking is limited and parking lots are extremely busy at the start of each school day. If you are arriving just before or just after the bell, we encourage you to park on the street and either send your child or walk them to the entrance.
Thank you for supporting our community.
