Due to the physical layout and access points to our property, the safety of our student is an ongoing concern.

Over the past year, we have had a number of near-misses involving students and vehicles, both on the street and in our parking lot.

With this in mind, parents, guardians and caregivers of Brigadoon students are reminded that:

• Currently, the areas on Caryndale Drive, adjacent to the school property, are regularly by-law-enforced as no-stopping and no-parking zones.
• The speed within the School Safety Zone on Caryndale is enforced at 30 km/hour at all times.
• In order to facilitate the safe arrival and departure of our many bus students, private vehicles, transporting students, will be redirected to NOT enter the staff parking lot or traffic circle at the front of the school to drop off or pick-up students between 8:30-9:45am and between 3:15-4pm.
